Tuesday, January 1

Very plesant day I done the chores and cooked feed for the hogs and then took wood in the wood house. Willu went a visiting.

Wednesday, January 2

Quite plesant I cut wood in the woods most of the day. Pa and Willu went to towanda in the forenoon, drove colts in the afternoon.

Thursday, January 3

Very warm and plesant. Willu and I cut wood most of the time.

Friday, January 4

Very warm and pleasant I cut wood all day. Willu helped a little while in the forenoon and in the afternoon. Pa and ma went to towanda to sea aunt Catheran. Emma went with Hannah a visiting to same.

Saturday, January 5

Quite lousy and ?? rain Willi and Henry drew hay down to wysox. I went with them the first lode and then chared around and cut some wood in the woods.

Sunday, January 6

It rained all day. I done most of the chores and stard at home.

Monday, January 7

Stormed some most of the in the forenoon, Willi drew one lode of hay in the forenoon. In the afternoon Henry came over and helped draw. I done the chores and choped wood in the woods.

Tuesday, January 8

Quite plesant day I done the chores and cut wood in the woods. Henry and Willi finished drawing the hay.

Wednesday, January 9

Rained most of the day. I done the chores went over to Henry’s and got him to handle a copple of oxes, and then sorted apples in the seller.

Thursday, January 10

Very winday day, I done the chores and choped wood in the woods, Pa and Willi went towanday and then drove colts.

Friday, January 11

Quite plesant day I and Willie sawed logs in the forenoon in the afternoon we skided logs in the woods.

Saturday, January 12

Very plesant day Willie and I cut church wood and hauled it. Henry came over and made a [?] to the box stall so as to have the colt loose.

Sunday, January 13

Quite warm and plesant day. I went to sunday school an the hill in the forenoon and to Shores hill in the afternoon with Henry to meeting.

Monday, January 14

Plesant day in the forenoon. We choped wood in the woods in the afternoon we took a lode of straw down to Bartlet.

Tuesday, January 15

Quite warm and plesant. Willie and I took stock of straw down to Bartlet and drew a lock of hay in the barn in the afternoon we choped wood in the woods.

Very windy day we cut wood in the woods.

Thursday, January 17

Very winday and quite cool I sorted corn in the granes til ten and then cut wood in the woods. Willie went to towanda.

Friday, January 18

Quite cool but plesant I cut wood in the woods all day Willie part of the time we finished cutting wood in the woods today.

Saturday, January 19

Very cold day and winday took wood in the house most of the day Willie and Pa went to towanda after they got back we drew too lodes of manure.

Sunday, January 20

Very cold day I done most of the chores and went to sund. school on the hill and to meeting in the evening.

Very plesant day. Willie and I went over and drew wood for Henry.

Tuesday, February 5

Quite warm day snode some and rained some Willie went to towanda I cleaned out the ice house.

Wednesday, February 6

We commenced getting ice this morning quit at noon in the afternoon Willie helped Henry take out the sawdust? out of the ice house.

Thursday, February 7

Very cold and dredful winday Willie and I went over and helped Henry we cut wood in the wood pile in the forenoon in the afternoon we went into the woods and choped.

Quite plesant day

I packed ice all day.

Willie drew it.

Quite plesant with the exeption of a snow squall [?] I packed ice all day Willie drew it Henry sawed it we finished.

Very plesant day Willie and I cut wood in the wood pile.

Quite plesant day we worked in the wood pile most of the day. I went to mill in the afternoon.

Friday, March 8

Very winday and snode some most of the time. I worked in the wood pile some and then we went in to the granery and sorted corn and sheled some.

Saturday, March 9

Very blustery and winday I cut wood in the wood pile Willie and Pa drove colts in the forenoon, in the afternoon Willie went down and got a lode of core.

Sunday, March 10

Quite winday day I helped do the chores in the morning and went to sabath school George came over and spent the afternoon, I did all the chores at nite.

Monday, April 1

It rained a little most of the time Willie and I sheled corn all day.

Tuesday, April 2

It rained by spells all day Willie and I sheled corn and run it threw the mill.

Wednesday, April 3

Quite lousy in the morning Willie and I sheled corn in the morning and then I went over and helped Henry hue(?) ties(?) Willie came over in the afternoon.

Quite plesant day I helped Henry hue(?) ties(?). Willie went to towanda.

Saturday, April 6

Quite plesant day I helped Henry hue(?) fies(?). Willie put up agrist(?) and plowed some in the orchard.

Quite plesant but cool wind. I done the chores and went to sunday school on the hill.

Quite plesant day I went to sunday school on the hill, in the afternoon I went with Pa to Mace Watels funeral in the evening went on the hill to meeting.

Monday, April 15

Quite plesant day Willie and I went to the saw mill and drew on logs.

Tuesday, April 16

Very plesant day Willie and I went to the saw mill and finished with the lumber and brot home a lode got home about one oclock in the afternoon I unloded a lode of saw dust and piled the lumber. Willie plowed.

Wednesday, April 17

Very plesant day I done the chores and measured the field [?] the horse and [?] [?] back at the barn, and the barn-lat, Willie plowed all day.

Thursday, April 18

Very warm and plesant I plow[?] all day above the house and finished. Willie harrowed with the colts and they got entagle in the harnice and hurt dave some.

Friday, April 19

Very warm and plesant I harroed with Willis horses and he used the colts til most noon and then I chored around til noon. Willie commenced saing and sode the rest of the day. I fixed fence in the afternoon.

Saturday, April 20

Quite plesant day I done the chores and sprouted some in the myreslat(?) and burnt the [?] and picked the stone and chored around some trimmed apple trees some.

Sunday, April 21

Very winday day I done most of the chores went to sabbath school on the hill.

Monday, April 22

Quite plesant day I done the chores and fixed fence along the rode by the old house. Willie plowed down by the lore barn for the first.

Tuesday, April 23

Quite plesant day. I plowed in the mayes(?) til in the forenoon Willie sode the orchard with the colts.

Wednesday, April 24

Rained one small shows middle of the forenoon. I sode the grassend on the little orchard and fixed feed for the hogs and took the swil barrels back to the hog pin. in the afternoon I cleaned the watering trap and finished fixing the fence between the swamp and the window. and the fence around the carrot patch.

Thursday, April 25

Rained most of the time I done the chores and cleaned the seller in the forenoon and part of the afternoon and then went down and drew stone in the myrestat(?), Willie and lode dron(?) this hams,

Friday, April 26

Raned most of the time I chimmed(?) in the morning and then Willie and I went down and drew stone til leven and then we came out I cleaned the first seller and in the middle of the afternoon we drew some stone.

Saturday, April 27

Rainy day it rained [?] most of the day I drew stone in the myreslot(?) in the forenoon went under a tree part of the time in the afternoon chored around part of the time and then went down and finished drawing stone got wet threw.

Sunday, April 28

Very rainy all day I done the chores and staid at home all day.

Friday, May 17

Very plesant day. I plowed all day and done the choes Willie harrowed in the forenoon in the afternoon tended the institute and evening.

Very warm day, I plowed all day. Willie harrowed in the forenoon and part of the afternoon.

Quite plesant day, we commenced planting corn planted mostly with planter.

Quite plesant day I finished planting corn and planted potatoes and we finished.

Quite windy day I done the chores and planted some in the garden and fasthy strung the cornfield.

Sunday, May 26

Very plesant day I done the chores went to sunday school on the hill and to sunday school to myorsberg and to meeting and on the hill to meeting.

Monday, May 27

It rained by spels all day.

I chored around more all day

Willie went over to Henries and staid all day.

Tuesday, May 28

Quite plesant day. I done the chores and then went over to Henries and helped plant corn.

Wednesday, May 29

Quite plesant and wenday I done the chores and helped Henry plant corn and potatoes.

Thursday, May 30

Quite warm day by spels and quite winday. I went over to henries and helped plant potatoes till nine and then got George supper and came over and raked the stone off and sode.

Friday, May 31

It rained in the nite some and this morning by spels and in the afternoon rained hard and all nite long.

Saturday, June 1

Rained very hard in the morning and cleaned off by noon it done a grate deel of damage in places. Willie and I fixed hore stable and then sheled corn til too oclock. and then I went to towanda. Came back to chores.

Quite plesant day. I done most of the chores. went to sunday school on the hill.

Friday, June 28

Very warm day I picked potato bags and hode potatoes in the forenoon, in the afternoon culturated corn, Willie finished plowing for buckweat.

Saturday, June 29

Very warm day, I culturated corn all day, Willie harrowed buckwheat ground.

Sunday, June 30

Very warm day I went to Sabbath School on the hill and staid at home the rest of the time.

Monday, July 1

Sunny day tord nite commenced raining and all nite, I cultivated corn til it rained, Willie harrowed for buckwheat.

Tuesday, July 2

Quite lousy day, Willie and I went to towanda and looked at and done some trading and looked at Mes shalire horses. Willie got a rowel(?) put in feeds brest.

Wednesday, July 3

Quite plesant day I worked in the gardens ome. Mes.(Mr.?) Clark came up with a horse and we used him some to try him, and I sat him, in the afternoon we went over to Mr. Shales with a lode of oats.

Thursday, July 4

Quite plesant day, Willie and I washed [?] buggaz and his and I worked in the garden til noon, in the afternoon we loded up too lodes of hay.

Friday, July 5

Very warm and plesant

Willie and I drew hay to towanda we drew fore lode with too teams.

Saturday, July 6

Very warm and plesant I hode in the garden in the forenoon, in the afternoon I cultivated corn, Willie barrowed for buckwheat.

Sunday, July 7

Very warm and plesant I went to sunday school on the hill in the morning and to meeting in the evening.

Monday, July 8

Very warm Willie and I foregreemd(?) the potatoes and then we commenced haying we mock til noon, in the afternoon we sode buckwheat.

Tuesday, July 9

Very hot day we finished soing the buckwheat this forenoon, in the afternoon I helped henry draw hay. Willie made some and raked some.

Wednesday, July 10

Willie made with the machein and I made around the fence in the forenoon, in the after noon I helped Henry draw one lode of hay and then I came home and drew one lode and Henry came over and drew one lode and then it rained and we worked around the barn.

Thursday, July 11

In the forenoon we moved the straw off of the scafold and ground a mang(?) machine nife, in the after noon we put up the horse fork and then mode til nite.

Friday, July 12

Mode some in the mornings the big orchard and then threw out hay til most noon and then drew some lode in the forenoon I raked and put up most of the time.

Saturday, July 13

I cultivated corn in the morning and then we worked at the hay Henry came over and helped in the after noon.

Sunday, July 14

Quite plesant day I helped do the chores and went to Sunday School on the hill.

Monday, July 15

Rained very hard last nite and all the fore noon we chored around ground moing machine [?] and sithes in the after noon we mode the old garden and spring lot.

Tuesday, July 16

Quite plesant I went and got my horse shot this morning and pradled around the wheat Willie rep Henries wheat in the after noon we raked the hay in the big orchard and drew it and one lode of the old garden.

Wednesday, July 17

Ground in the morning and fixed the reper(?) and Willie rep til noon I mode in the after noon Willie and I put up the hay in the old garden and spring lot and drew three lodes and Willie went to reeping and I done the chores.

Thursday, July 18

Very plesant day Willie and I drew too lodes of hay and then Willie went to reping and finished by noon went to raking and binding in the after noon Henry come over and heped we and we bound most all f the puhat(?). it was most nine oclock when we got it all stood up.

Friday, July 19

Very lousey and in the morning but hold off til after noon we drew most all of the wheat. in the afternoon I went to mill and to the cooper shak.

Saturday, July 20

I went to towanda with Willie and pa in the forenoon in the after noon I made around the fence below rode Willie mode it with the machine at nite we finished drawing the wheat.

Sunday, July 21

Very plesant day I done most of the chores and went to sunday school on the hill and to meeting in the evening.

Monday, July 22

Very warm day we unloded too lodes of wheat and put up the hors fork and then raked the hay and drew ate lode of it blow the horse.

Tuesday, July 23

We unloded the wagons of hay and Willie and Partes drew hay and I made around the fence and then cultivated corn til middle of the after noon and then raked hay and put it up Willie mode, Partes helped Henry in the after noon.

Wednesday, July 24

We worked puting up hay we drew eight lode. the aids society met(?) here today.

Thursday, July 25

We worked puting up hay in the lore lot, and drawed six lode.

Friday, July 26

Willie mode with the machine all the forenoon I helped him and mode some with the sithe, and then Henry came over and we fixed the stock bottom and loded are lode in the after noon. Willi and Parter drew it and Henry stacked it and I pitched it to him.

Saturday, July 27

Rained by pells all day wed carrots in the garden. Willie got his horses shod in the afternoon.

Sunday, July 28

Clouday by spells and very hot by spells I went to sunday school on the hill and to meeting to union(?) Corners(?) in the afternoon

Monday, July 29

Commended raining about half past seven and rainy all day we wed in the carrots some and chored around all day.

Tuesday, July 30

Rained a little by spells all day I claddled around the oats above, the house in the forenoon in the after noon we ground silthes and cradding and then went to cutting the oats in the orchard.

Wednesday, July 31

Rained by spells we finished shelling the corn and running it through the mill. and then we wed carrots.

Thursday, August 1

Rained some in the forenoon and at nite, I mode thisels and weeds in the forenoon, Willie went to towanda in the afternoon he went to senter valley(?) to get some shingles, I put oats in the orchard.

Friday, August 2

Threatened rain but did not rain Willie and I cut oats in the orchard in the forenoon in the afternoon we stured(?) hay, and put up some that was in the swath and finished cuting the oats in the orchard.

Saturday, August 3

Quite plesant in the morning but rained in the after noon in the morning we commenced throwing out hay and henry came over and helped we commenced a stack and got fore lode in it and then we drew too pases of lodes in the barn.

Sunday, August 4

Quit plesant threatened rain tord nite and all nite rained hard. Willie and Feank(?) went to waren a visating Saturday nite and came back to nite I went to sunday school and the hill and to meeting to myersburg and to sunday school and to meeting on the hill in the evening.

Monday, August 5

Rained all the forenoon I chored around the house and barn in the afternoon I stured out hay and wed in the carrots Willie finished moing the field by the old house.

Tuesday, August 6

Very nice day. We threw out the hay and drid it and stacked it and finished the field.

Wednesday, August 7

Very plesant day we raked most of the oast in the orchard and commenced raking oats above the house about ten oclock.

Friday, August 9

Cloudy and rained a little in the afternoon we finished raking oats above the house in the forenoon in the after noon we drew too lodes of hay and then drew oats.

Saturday, August 10

Quite plesant day we finished drawing the oats and cradled around the field in the Meyrese lot.

Sunday, August 11

Very cool day, I done most of the chores and went to sunday school on the hill.

Monday, August 12

I and Mr Parter/Portes/Partes raked oats in the myere lot, Willie rep the oats.

Tuesday, August 13

I and Mr. Parter and Wil Jansten finished raking oats about fore…(?) and then went over and helped Henry, Willie rep Henries oats.

Wednesday, August 14

It rained last nite and some during the day I done the chores and raked the oats stubble above the house Willie went over to Henries a burying.

Thursday, August 15

Willie mod with the machine and I with a cythe in the majres lot

Friday, August 16

We dre hay out of the myres lot and one lode of oats got done chores about nine.

Saturday, August 17

we drew oats all day and finished we got done all but a lode of rakings about four and then went over and helped Henry and drew the rakings about nine oclock in the dark.

Sunday, August 18

Very plesant day I went to sunday school on the hill and to the (?) and to the meeting at boath plases.

We mode and drew hay from the myres lot

We mode and finished halling the hay in the myres lot in the afternoon and made some met(?) to able(?).

Finished mowging the field by the corners and put it up it was very dark and we finished about nine.

We finished the field next to Mr. White and the long meadow.

Very warm day I went with Ma and Pa to quaretly meeting to Fownes hilll

Monday, August 26

Very warm day, Willie and I went to towanda in the forenoon, in the after noon I mode around the fence in the lore lot willie mode the cool bough lot.

Tuesday, August 27

I got captian shot in the morning and then raked the field over by Dloses and Willie and Henry mode the new meadow in the after noon we put up hay the last.

Wednesday, August 28

Very warm day we drew hay all day and finished all by slacking one lode.

Thursday, August 29

Finished the stack and then went to plowing and drawing monure for wheat.

Friday, August 30

Willie went out to warren early in the morning and I done the chores and drew manure.

Saturday, August 31

I done the chores and plowed and drew manure. Willie came home after dark.

Sunday, September 1

Very warm I went to Sunday school on the hill and to meeting in the evening.

Very warm day I chored around dug some potholes in the fore noon, in the after noon I drew manure, Willie plowed.

Tuesday, September 3

very warm I drew manure all day, Willie plowed.

Friday, September 6

we worked in the grainery awhile and then I drew manure and Willie plowed til it rained about tin oclock, Willie went to towanda in the affernoon, the thrashers came about fore but went home.

Saturday, September 7

it rained in the morning some and drizzled most all day the thrashers came over and we thrashed all day.

Sunday, September 8

quite plesant day I done most of the chores and went to sunday school on the hill.

We tended the county fare.

We harrowed for wheat all day Shaler came up with a buggy and we swaped off kit in past pay for the buggy.

We finished soing wheat today above the house leven acres

I went to Sunday School and to meeting on the hill, and to the burg.

we cut corn for the first this year.

Tuesday, October 1

rained in the morning and most all the after noon I helped Willie pet a grist of wheat and Willie went to towanda with it I hit up a grist of chorp and went to mill.

We drew wood to thrash with and then we picked apples, Willie sode wheat for Henry in the afternoon.

very cold day Pa, Ma, and Emma and I went to Chanceys Rancems funeral.

Monday, October 7

very cold rained and snode by spells, Willi and I helped Henry sow wheat til most nite and then the thrashers came to thrash buckwheat.

Tuesday, October 8

quite cold and windy, we finished thrashing buckwheat had 150 bushels in the afternoon we dug potatoes.

Wednesday, October 9

quite plesant Willie and I went to towands, and Pa went and swaped his buggy with Chaler for a new one. On the afternoon we dug potatoes.

Thursday, October 10

We dug potatoes all day and Henry came over and helped us.

Friday, October 11

quite warm and plesant We dug potatoes Henry came over and helped us.

Saturday, October 12

cloudy in the fore noon and rained in the after noon Willie and I dug potatoes we worked in the rain in the after noon til most fore oclock to finish.

Sunday, October 13

rained all last nite and was quite cold and rained some I sent to meeting on the hill and to sunday school.

Thursday, October 17

very plesant day I went to mill and got my horse shot it costs me (?) and then I helped Willie pick up sider apples.

Friday, October 18

Willie went to sider mill with a lode of apples, I commenced husking corn. Mr. Robbert Woodruf and daughter came a visiting and staid all nite.

Saturday, October 19

We husked corn all day.

Sunday, October 20

Very cool day I went to sunday school in the morning, in the afternoon Ma and Pa and I went to Mr’s Allens funeral.

Monday, October 21

Willie and I husked corn in the forenoon, in the after noon we took a cupple of hogs and some yearlings down to the cattle yard.

Tuesday, October 22

We husked corn all day.

Wednesday, October 23

It rained and snode a quite a little last nite I went to towanda with Emma in the morning. Willie drew pumpkins in the after noon we husked corn.

Thursday, October 24

I husked corn all day, Willie helped in the forenoon, in the after noon he helped Henry gather his turnips.

Friday, October 25

I husked corn in the forenoon, Willie went to towanda with Pa, in the after noon we drew corn.

Saturday, October 26

We husked corn til middle of the after noon and then we drew corn. It commenced raining at nite and rained all nite.

Sunday, October 27

Rained some by spels in the morning and about leven commenced raining hard and rained the rest of the day, I went to Sunday School in the morning.

Monday, October 28

It rained by spels all the forenoon, Willie and I put up a lode of corn and wheat to sell and we went to towanda with it in the afternoon.

Tuesday, October 29

It rained some, Willie and I fixed acowstoble manger and the flore in the halls and then we drew dirt and put by the stable dores, in the afternoon Willie went to towanda and I worked a lone.

Wednesday, October 30

Rained some Willie and I drew a copel of lodes of dirt and cleaned out the box stals, in the after noon we husked corn.

Thursday, October 31

We husked corn part of the day when it didn’t rain to hard.

Friday, November 1

Willie and I drew wood for to thrash with all the forenoon in the after noon we husked corn

Saturday, November 2

It rained tords nite. Willie drove the colt in the morning and I saved pumpkin seeds and then we husked corn till noon in the after noon we drew corn til nite.

Sunday, November 3

It rained all last nite and all the forenoon. I staid at home all day.

Thursday, November 14

Willie and I husked corn in the forenoon in the after noon we gathered the celery.

Saturday [Friday crossed out], November 16

Froze quite hard last nite Willie and I gathered the carrots and the garden sauce. and unloded the last lode of corn, we had it in the barn, and then we drew a lode of stalks.

Friday [Saturday crossed out], November 15

Willie and I finished husking corn about the middle of the forenoon, and then drew corn til most nite and then gathered the cabbage and pulled the carrot and put them in the hog pen.

Sunday, November 17

Very cold last nite but the sun shone all day, I went to Sunday School on the hill.

Sunday, December 8

It rained about ten and continued the rest of the day. I started to go to quarterly meeting to north come(?) with georde but came back it rained so hard.

Monday, December 9

I choped wood in the woods all day.

Tuesday, December 10

I worked in the woods a choping wood and sawing logs. Willie went to towanda in the after noon.

Wedensday, December 11

I worked in the woods a choping logs and sawing them.

Thursday, December 12

I choped wood in the woods and helped saw logs and skided them in the evening I went to Jamhs Canklins birthday party.

Friday, December 13

I got my horse shod in the forenoon in the after noon I helped Willie saw logs and skid them.

Saturday, December 14

Plesant in the morning and about nine oclock commenced swany(?) and cantimaed(?) most all day, I done the chores and then I choped in the woods til it stormed and then shovled saw dust out of the ice house.

Sunday, December 15

Quite plesant day I done the chores and went to sunday school on the hill, Willie went to Waren senter a visiting.
