Bradlee Evans Brown

A wonderful portrait of a young man, Bradlee Evans Brown, according to the information. Likely taken in the 1920’s. Thanks to the unusual spelling of Bradlee, Mr. Brown wasn’t too difficult to identify.

I believe this is Bradlee, son of Herbert Brown & Fannie Savory. He was born in Massachusetts in 1900. Throughout the early 1/2 of the 20th century he lived in Marblehead, Essex, MA. Bradlee Evans Brown died in the same state in 1986, at the age of 86.

Olga Peterson (#91) is the most well documented. She was born in 1906 in New York to Swedish parents, Carl F. and Augusta B. Peterson. They lived in Cattaraugus county, New York from 1915 to 1930. This is the same county as Westbrook Academy. In 1930 Olga was still living with her parents, but working at a local bank.

Her classmates, Edward Daniels (#107) and Katharine Hyland (#54) also lived in Cattaraugus county, but not with their parents. Edward was a lodger, and it’s noted on the 1925 New York census that he’s a bookkeeper. Katharine lived with an aunt and uncle, Earl T. and Rose Langmade.

They are 3 very handsome students!
